George Tsai

George graduated from La Trobe University with a Graduate Certificate in Sports Physiotherapy in 2005 and Masters in Sports Physiotherapy in 2008.

 

George has more than 12 years of experience in the treatment of musculoskeletal and sports related injuries. He was the consultant to the Australian Men’s Handball team between 2006-2012 and traveled extensively nationally and internationally. He has a focus on sport related injuries with attention to an accurate diagnosis, a comprehensive rehabilitation plan, safe return to play and preventative strategies. He sees athletes of all levels of participation from the elite to recreational.

 

George majority of the time sees day-to-day people with their muculoskeletal complaints opting for the use of evidence based practice. Between 2008-2009, he participated in the worlds first RCT (Randomised Controlled Trial) looking at the used of physiotherapy in the treatment of Patellofemoral Joint arthritis under guidance of Prof. Kay Crossley – a world leader in the field.

 

He also takes Pilates classes at the Doncaster Clinic with the focus on improving chronic neck and back pain, restoration of spinal stability, improve posture and giving patients back enjoyment of a stronger and fitter body.

 

George enjoys golf and tenpin bowling. He also speaks fluent Chinese (Mandarin).
